Searching for the death date and burial
place of Elias SHAFER, whom was born 22 Nov 1808 Schoharie Co, NY. Married
first in Huron Co, OH to Anna Maria BENTLEY. Married second to Sevinia
HOLMES NORTON in Allen County, Indiana. Was a gunsmith in Paulding County,
Ohio from 1850-1873. Moved to Marion County about 1873 with his only son,
Christopher. Elias was still living in 1881, but no record after that date.

Any inf on Hugh FULTON, b. 1810 in Randolph Co
first son and 2nd child of David FULTON and Margaret Caroline HILL. Hugh
married Margaret "Peggy" WILKINS in Marion Co 13/10/1836. Hugh bought land
in 1839. He and his family was listed in the 1850 Marion Co Census. His wife
with five children (Mary, Margaret, Sarah, William, and Porter) were listed
in the 1860 Wise Co TX Census. What happened to Hugh?

Am researching the MARSHALL and YARDLEY
families in Marion County. Adam/Hayden Marshall (born 1824 in TN) married
Rachel Yardley (1841). She is the daughter of JOSEPH YARDLEY AND LYDIA
REYNOLDS. Who was Adam's father? Also researching JAMES A. MARSHALL who
married Rhoda Young. Is he Adam's brother? Was their mother's name Ruth? Are
they related to JAMES EVAN MARSHALL of Lincoln County, TN? The children of
Adam and Rachel: Henry Henderson, George, Jefferson, Matilda (May), Adam,
and Lucinda. Adam died around 1861 - did his wife - Rachel - marry again?
Lucinda was married to a _____ TUNE - she died after 1920. One of the above
brothers to my Henry was also known as Jim so was he Adam or Jefferson

Searching for Family of my Great Grandfather
Andrew Jackson FORTNER. He was born 1847 in Webster Co. Kentucky and
probably moved to Illinois as a child with his family. He enlisted in the
Union Army in 1863 at Louisville, KY., and his residence was listed as
Marion, Illinois. I don't know if it is Marion City or County. After being
mustered out in 1865 he went back to Illinois, and about 1867 moved to
Arkansas where he Married my Great Grandmother Harriett Evaline JACKSON in
1868. Any help will be appreciated and I'll be glad to share what I have.
