I am looking for the date of death for Josephine
Whitley SIMCOX. All I
know about her is that she was born 2 DEC 1862, died early in June
1942,
and is buried in Patoka (I don't know which cemetery). I have a piece
of
coverlet she stitched that I would like to give her great-great
granddaughter,
and with it a list of the relatives that have owned it. All I am
looking
for is the actual date she died in June 1942. Any help would be
appreciated.
I need this for Christmas, so I think snail-mail wouldn't help at this
late

ILLINOIS CORNELIUS from late 1700s to mid 1800s.
Seeking anyone with knowledge
of IL CORNELIUS. During the years of about 1790 to around 1875. I have
CORNELIUS
ancestors that were born, married or buried in one or more of the
following
IL counties. Scott, Greene, Jersey, Calhoun, Menard, Sangamon,
Macoupin,
Madison, St. Clair, Bond Marion, Jefferson, Clay and last Macon Co.
Joseph
CORNELIUS b 1775, Kent Co. MD, was among the first to come to IL in St
Clair
Co, but most of his children were b in Jersey Co IL between 1807 to
1820.
Two of Joseph’s nephews, Daniel Smith CORNELIUS b 1793 MD and Daniel’s
brother Zachariah CORNELIUS b 1795, Kent Co MD. Daniel Smith fought in
War
1812 in Macoupin Co IL and was in TX by 1817 in Red River Co. Zachariah
stayed
in Bond Co. and had two large families of children. There is a reported
of
another John of this line reported to have come to IL , but I do not
have
proof as yet. I have been able to find living descendants of these
CORNELIUS,
one living in IL, one and KS, another in Dumas TX and my wife in Austin
TX,
and finally one in FL. But I have many unanswered questions and if
anyone
is willing to share data with me perhaps both of us can expand our
lines.
