Mrs. Lucy V. Thompson, 77 of Farina, passed away Friday, May 30, 1969, in the Fayette County Hospital, in Vandalia, Illinois. Mrs. Thompson was born November 21, 1891, in Marion County; the daughter of Wesley Hanson and Sarah Gertrude "Wilson" Mulvaney.
She married Fred E. Thompson, who preceded her in death May 26, 1949.
Surviving are two sons, Lloyd Earl and Ivan Eugene, both of Farina, six daughters, Mrs. Blanche Chasteen of Kinmundy; Josephine Thompson of Farina, Mrs. Neita Williams of Brownstown, Mrs. Freida Wright and Mrs. Normagene Hopper both of Fayetteville, N.C. and Mrs. Marjorie Pierce of Brookport, IL; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Perry, Mrs. Nellie Gordon both of Kinmundy and Lillian Yates of Salem; two brothers Ray and Ed Mulvaney both of Kinmundy; 20 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, June 2, at the Meacham Baptist Church with Bro. William Dickman officiating. Burial was in the Elder Cemetery, rural Kinmundy, IL. Linton Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
