KINMUNDY ---- Ora Burton Yates Sr., 92, of Kinmundy died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, April 20, 1997, at Odin Care Center. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Neal Funeral Home, Kinmundy, with burial in Elder Cemetery, rural Kinmundy. Visitation will be for an hour before services. Memorials may be made to the Kinmundy--Alma EMT's.
Mr. Yates was born November 15, 1904, in Kinmundy, the son of Charles E. and Dicie "Butts" Yates. His wife Lillian died in 1984. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his sons; Dale of Flora, Junior of Kinmundy, Lowell of Farina, daughter Helen Pauline Butts of Centralia; brother Laurel of Kinmundy; sisters, Mrs. Opal Cooper and Mrs. Lloyd "Virginia" Sinclair, both of Kinmundy; 28 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four sons, two brothers and two sisters.
