I am seeking information about the family of Richard MATTINGLY (about 1819-1873) and Elizabeth DANIELS MATTINGLY (1816-1892), who lived in Salem, Marion Co, IL in the early 1800's. Their children included: Mary (born in Illinois in about 1839), Evasters (born in Illinois in about 1850), Emily (born in Salem, IL, Aug 16, 1853), and Sarah Jane (born in Texas in 1856). Because of the large gap between the births of Mary and Evasters, I feel there must have been other children who remained in Illinois when the family moved to Texas in the early 1850's. Searching for informationon the DEPUE family of Marion Co., residing on the Skillet Fork, Parents Marshall and Mary (Polly) DEPUE. Children include David, George, Keziah, John Jay, Ralph. William REDFERN & Mary COURTNEY -William and Mary were married in about 1889, she may have been a widow as she had a son, Hugh MCDERMOTT. William adopted Hugh, and had four more children, Louise, Thomas, Lizzy and Mary. William was an American Indian, he and Mary may have had a wagon that they toured with, and sold medicine. I have not been able to find a marriage record, or any other infomation.

I am looking for information about a cemetery named the PETREA or PETRIE Burial Grounds. Information I have indicates that it is 5 miles west of the city of Centralia which, I believe, would put it in Clinton County, but possibly Marion County. I also believe it is a family burial ground for members of the Thomas and Saloma (SOPER) PETREA family that lived in Brookside Township, Clinton County, Illinois in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.
